According
to a report by government researchers released this month, Health care
spending in 2011 continued to grow at one of the slowest rates in
history.
It was shown that health spending grew just 3.9 percent, the same rate of growth as over the past three years.
Health spending in the years 2009 to 2011 stayed at just under
18 percent of the country’s gross domestic product ($2.7 trillion in

A report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 47 U.S. states report widespread flu activity.
The CDC assumes that the epidemic may be at its peak. Flu
activity is considered "high" in 24 states and "moderate" in 16 states.
This year´s flu appears to be more severe than last year.
"In fact, a number of patients have required mechanical
ventilation due to difficulty breathing. We have also seen a number of
children under the age of 5 with severe symptoms including muscle aches
along with vomiting," Dr. Robert Glatter says.
